Polyacrylamide / AGEFLOC 1052-AP equivalent models can be replaced By Chinafloc A2619
Anionic polyacrylamide AGEFLOC 1052-AP is a high-molecular-weight, water-soluble polymer mainly used as a flocculant, sedimentation accelerator, thickener, and dewatering aid. It features a strong anionic charge density and long polymer chains that promote efficient particle aggregation through adsorption and bridging mechanisms. Because of its excellent performance with inorganic suspensions and mineral solids, AGEFLOC 1052-AP is widely applied in water and wastewater treatment, mining and mineral processing, sludge dewatering, papermaking, sand washing, and industrial effluent clarification.
1. Municipal and Industrial Water Treatment
One of the most important applications of AGEFLOC 1052-AP is in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment systems. Wastewater from cities and industrial plants typically contains clay, silt, metal hydroxides, organic debris, and suspended colloidal particles that are difficult to settle naturally. AGEFLOC 1052-AP destabilizes these particles and binds them into large, compact flocs, allowing rapid sedimentation.
In primary clarification, it significantly reduces turbidity and suspended solids. In secondary treatment, it improves sludge settleability in activated sludge systems. In tertiary treatment, it is used to polish treated water before discharge or reuse. AGEFLOC 1052-AP is especially effective in treating wastewater from chemical plants, electroplating facilities, textile mills, dyeing factories, food processing plants, and steelworks, helping users meet strict environmental discharge standards.
2. Sludge Dewatering and Mechanical Solid–Liquid Separation
AGEFLOC 1052-AP is extensively used as a sludge conditioning and dewatering agent in belt filter presses, centrifuges, screw presses, and plate-and-frame filter presses. When added to sludge, it transforms fine, compressible particles into strong, fast-draining flocs. This leads to:
-
Higher dry solids content in the sludge cake
-
Shorter dewatering cycle time
-
Lower polymer consumption per ton of sludge
-
Reduced sludge disposal volume
-
Significant savings in transportation and landfill costs
The product performs especially well for inorganic and mineral-rich sludges, such as those produced from mining wastewater, sand washing plants, coal preparation plants, and metallurgical wastewater treatment systems. It is also effective in municipal sewage sludge dewatering, where moisture reduction is critical for incineration or landfill disposal.
3. Mining and Mineral Processing Industry
In the mining and mineral processing sector, AGEFLOC 1052-AP is widely used as a thickening, clarification, and tailings treatment flocculant. After grinding and flotation, mineral slurries contain large amounts of ultra-fine particles that hinder natural settling. AGEFLOC 1052-AP rapidly aggregates these fines, allowing fast sedimentation in:
-
High-rate thickeners
-
Deep cone thickeners
-
Clarifiers
-
Tailings ponds
It is commonly applied in the beneficiation of iron ore, copper ore, gold ore, phosphate, coal, bauxite, and rare-earth minerals. Its use significantly improves overflow water clarity, enabling process water recycling and reducing freshwater consumption. In tailings management, it enhances tailings consolidation, dam stability, and water recovery, which is crucial for safe and environmentally responsible mine operations.
4. Sand Washing and Aggregate Processing
AGEFLOC 1052-AP is widely used in sand washing plants, quarry operations, and construction aggregate processing lines. Wash water produced during sand and gravel processing contains large quantities of fine clay, silt, and suspended particulate matter. Due to their small particle size and surface charge, these fines settle very slowly without chemical aid.
By applying AGEFLOC 1052-AP, suspended solids rapidly flocculate and settle in clarification tanks or thickeners. This enables:
-
Faster slurry clarification
-
Efficient recycling of process water
-
Reduced pond size and maintenance
-
Improved final sand quality
-
Lower environmental discharge load
This application is especially important in regions with water scarcity and strict mining environmental regulations.
5. Papermaking and Pulp Processing
In the pulp and paper industry, AGEFLOC 1052-AP is mainly used as a retention aid, drainage aid, and white-water clarification agent. It increases the retention of:
-
Cellulose fibers
-
Mineral fillers (calcium carbonate, kaolin)
-
Fine particulate additives
This improves paper strength, sheet formation uniformity, and production yield. Additionally, in pulp washing and paper machine white-water recovery systems, AGEFLOC 1052-AP enhances the separation of fibers and fines from water, allowing cleaner water reuse and reducing wastewater discharge volumes.
6. Textile and Dyeing Wastewater Treatment
Textile and dyeing industries generate highly polluted wastewater containing disperse dyes, reactive dyes, starch, surfactants, and suspended fibers. AGEFLOC 1052-AP is used after coagulation to flocculate these contaminants into settleable masses. This results in:
-
Improved color removal
-
Reduced turbidity and suspended solids
-
Lower COD and BOD load on biological systems
-
Improved stability of downstream treatment processes
By increasing solid–liquid separation efficiency, the polymer helps textile factories achieve regulatory compliance while controlling treatment costs.
7. Food and Beverage Industry Wastewater
In food processing, wastewater often contains proteins, fats, starches, and fine organic solids. AGEFLOC 1052-AP effectively flocculates these pollutants and supports high-efficiency clarification and flotation systems. It is widely applied in:
-
Dairy processing plants
-
Breweries and beverage factories
-
Meat, poultry, and seafood processing plants
-
Sugar and starch manufacturing facilities
Its use stabilizes treatment performance and reduces sludge handling costs.
8. Soil Stabilization and Erosion Control
AGEFLOC 1052-AP is also applied in soil stabilization, dust suppression, and erosion control projects. When sprayed onto soil surfaces, the polymer binds loose soil particles into a cohesive layer that resists wind and water erosion. Typical applications include highway construction, mining site reclamation, landfill cover stabilization, slopes, and embankments. This reduces runoff, improves soil water retention, and protects infrastructure.
9. Key Performance Advantages
AGEFLOC 1052-AP offers several technical and economic advantages:
-
High molecular weight for strong floc formation
-
Excellent performance in inorganic and mineral systems
-
Low dosage requirement and high cost-effectiveness
-
Rapid solubility and easy handling
-
Wide pH adaptability
-
Low toxicity and good environmental compatibility
