White power or granule,the degree of ion is from 5% to 80%,soluible ,good water solubility,can be dissolved in water at any percentage and be undissolved in organic solvents.CPAM show characteristics of high polymer electrolyte, suitable for wastewater treatment with negative charge and rich organic matters.
一.introduction
Cationic polyacrylamide is a kind of linear high molecular polymer,with kinds of active groups, forming hydrogen bond. absorbent with may substance.mainly flocculate colloids with negative charge,with the performance of excepting turbidity and decoloring, adsorption, adhesion and other functions, it is suitable for wastewater treatment with high organic colloid cotent,like dyeing, papermaking, food, building, metallurgy, mineral processing, coal, oilfield, aquatic products processing and fermentation lines, it is especially suitable for the city wastewater, city sewage sludge, papermaking sludge and other industrial sludge treatment.

二.characteristics
1.good solubility,can be dissolved in cold water.
2.with great flocculation effect adding small volume of cationic polyacrylamide.normally,it will be good result by adding 0.01~10ppm(0.01~10g/m3)
3.i will show greater efficacy using cationic polyacrylamide with inorganic floccuants together(Polymeric ferric sulfate, poly aluminum chloride etc.)
三.application range
1.we have to firstly choose the optimum model of cationic PAM according to the properties of the sludge ,the sludge will be bigger,non-sticking to filter cloth,the floc is not loose, the flowing mud cake is thicker, high dewatering efficiency, the moisture content of mud cake is below 80%.
2.used for domestic sewage and organic wastewater treatment,Cationic polyacrylamide products showed cationic in acid or alkaline medium, so it will be good effect of flocculent and sedimentation ,carlification for treating the wastewater in which the suspending articles is with negative charge. Such as the alcohol wastewater, papermaking wastewater, domestic sewage, monosodium glutamate wastewater, sugar wastewater, wastewater with high organic content , feeding wastewater , textile printing and dyeing wastewater ,the effect is about several times or dozens of times treating above mentioned wastewatet using cationic polyacrylamide,than anionic and nonionic polyacrylamdie.because this kind of waste water is generally with negative charge.
3.used as flocculant for tap water(source is from river ) treatment ,small quantity,good effect,low cost,with better using result especially using mixed with inorganica flocculant.It will be a high efficient flocculant water treatment plant to the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and other basins.
四、using-method
1.confirming the best models as well as the optimal dosage through test.
2.preparing the solution with 0.1-o.2%concentration,the neutral water with salt is better.
3. the product can be evenly spreaded into the mixing water, increasingthe temperature appropriately(less than 60 degrees Celsius) can accelerate the dissolvinbg speed (stirring time is about 40 minutes).
4.the PAM powder can be packed in kraft paper bag with inner plastic bag..25kg/bag.
5.this product is easierly absorbent ,it should be stored in a cool and dry place after sealed, temperature is lower than 35 DEG C.
6, avoiding to spread PAM on the ground, it becomes slippery after moisture absorption.
7.It should be in the enamel, galvanized steel, aluminum or plastic barrel instead of ron container when preparation and storage.
8.we should put the PAM into the stirring and dissolver evenly avoding caking.the solution should be prpepared under situable temperature,avoiding long time mechanical shear. Suggestions stirring speed is about 60 - 200 /min, otherwise it will lead to adegradation, affecting the use result.
9.the PAM solution should be preparated when using, if the solution can not be used for a long time, its performance will be reduced gradually as water quality situation.
10, it will destroy the formed flocs if the time is too long to mix the wastewater strongly after adding the PAM solution into the wastewater.
五.Following the principle when using the products as follows:
1.granular polyacrylamide can not be directly added into sewage. firstly dissolving it.
2.the dissolving water should be clean(such as tap water).room temperature water is ok,there is no need to increase the temperature.the dissolving speed is slow if the temperature is under 5℃,the dissolving speed will be quickly if increasing the temperature.the polymer will be degraded if the temperature is over 40℃,effecting the using result.normally,Tap water is suitable for the preparation of polymer solution. Strong acid, alkali, high salt water is not suitable.
3.Polymer solution concentration, suggestions for 0.1% - 0.3%, 1 liter of water plus 1g 3G polymer powder.
六.selection and application:
As long as there is wastewater where there is sewage sludge, in order to improve the performance of sludge dewatering, sludge dewatering agent always be ued.
sludge dewatering agent selection principle: treating organic sludge with cationic polyacrylamide, treating inorganic sludge usually with anionic polyacrylamide. cationic polyacrylamide is not suitable for Strongly alkaline sludg. anionic polyacrylamide is generally not suitable for Strong acid sludge.
We should choose different models of dewatering agent according to the property of the industrial or sewage sludge
