1. Product characteristics of anionic polyacrylamide

The ore is crushed and ground to liberate the copper-bearing mineral from the waste material or gangue. The reduced product is then subjected to secondary crushing and following this stage is further crushed by milling which typically involves a series of rod or ball mills. The final material particle size will normally be less than 100 microns.

During the final milling stage reagents called collectors are added to the slurry, which preferentially absorb onto the copper sulphide. These collectors render the sulphide particles hydrophobic. These copper minerals are then concentrated by flotation when air bubbles are introduced into the slurry. Frothers are normally added to the slurry to stabilise the copper particle laden bubbles at the top of the slurry therefore creating froth. The slurry or tailings from the flotation cells reports to a thickener where flocculant is added to promote rapid sedimentation and generation of a clear overflow, which returns to the process water circuit. The thickened tailings are normally further dewatered by filtration where a flocculant is added as a filtration aid.

The copper laden froth (copper concentrate) is removed from the overflow by mechanical means and is then thickened and dewatered where flocculants are used to improve the sedimentation and filtration rates. The resultant concentrate or cake contains approximately 25 to 35% copper, which is then recovered by pyrometallurgical processing.

2.applications of anionic polyacrylamide

(1)Sedimentation of the copper concentrate/ flotation tailings.

(2)Filtration aid of the thickened tailings/thickened copper concentrate.

3. Instruction for use

(1)It's very important to make the efficient dispersion during using, otherwise will cause agglomerate and "fish eyes", dissolving time will be longer.

(2)Low-hardness water for use; avoid adopting such tank or pool, which will influence on water quality.

(3)Improve the water temperature to accelerate the dissolving velocity, but not exceed 50.

(4)Stirring will accelerate dissolving, but tough stirring will make the dispersant chain broken and degradation. Shipshape agitator with 200 - 500 rpm is the best choice.

(5)Commonly mix the product into 0.05%--0.5%(w/w)solution as reserve.

(6)Adjust the optimum dosage of product according to application condition.

4. Product package of anionic polyacrylamide

5. Attention for anionic polyacrylamide

The product is moisture absorbent, thus to protect from damp and moist for conservation. It should be stored in a dry and ventilate storehouse, and not be exposed to air and sunshine.
